We have a fantastic opportunity for **2 Data Protection Analysts** to join our growing Data Protection team. You'll be based in our head office in Basingstoke, with the flexibility to combine home working as we embrace our hybridworking model.

Our Data Protection team sets out how Data Protection is managed in Sovereign and works with the whole organisation to ensure that the rights and freedoms of individuals are respected and that their personal data is managed in line with Data Protection laws.

**What you'll be doing**

Working with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and the rest of the team, you'll use your expertise to ensure our Data Protection processes and procedures are adhered to. Responsibilities include:

- Responding to personal data requests and working collaboratively to fulfil Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
- Assisting the incident response team in the investigation of Data Protection breaches and production of ‘Lessons Learnt' reports
- Being alert to any issues that could lead to Data Protection breaches or issues that might prevent Sovereign from fulfilling its obligations to respond to DSARs in a timely manner, escalating to the DPO where necessary
- Preparing monthly statistics about breaches, data requests and remedial actions status
- Acting as a point of contact for the business for queries and requests about Data Protection via various communication channels

**We're looking for**

Ideally, you'll have some prior knowledge or experience in Data Protection and an understanding of the importance of ensuring all personal data is handled in the correct manner in line with Data Protection laws. You'll also have:

- Great attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work effectively, managing multiple tasks to deadlines
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience in data reporting, identifying any trends and presenting data clearly and accurately
- An interest in keeping up to date with current trends in Data Protection and any changes in legislation
