We are recruiting for an **Accounts Assistant on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract **to join our growing team in our Bromsgrove/ Birmingham office. You will be reporting to the People Solutions Finance Manager and assisting with the completion of accounting practices, for the incoming receipts for the NFP UK Holdings group of companies.
**Overview of duties**:
- Incoming commissions - Support the wider team to ensure all incoming commissions for the People Solutions business lines (Employee Benefits, Wealth, HR advisory) are recorded accurately and in a timely fashion
- Invoices - Ensure sales invoices are raised and issued as required for the People Solutions businesses
- Budgeting/forecasting - Work with the wider finance team to help build the annual budgets and reforecast as required throughout the year
- Assist in the completion of audit requests as required
- Support the wider finance team in the preparation of month end reporting documents as required
- Support with transformation activity across the group in order to improve and streamline finance processes
- Support with ad-hoc finance projects as required
- Regularly review Aged Debtors and ensure credit control procedures are followed
- Liaise with Sales team and Consultants on significantly outstanding debts to identify potential actions/provisions required
- Chasing commission revenue not received as expected
**Person specification**:
**Knowledge, skills and abilities**:
- Excellent organiser: Including time management and prioritisation Manages own time effectively and able to manage the expectations of other stakeholders regarding delivery timescales. Keep line manager informed of delays and adheres to deadlines
- Activity oriented: Works at a fast pace but doesn’t sacrifice attention to detail, enjoys being busy
- Attention to detail: Ensures that work is checked thoroughly and picks up on small errors. Able to compare numerical and written information and spot patterns and/or discrepancies
**Education and experience**:
- Accounting experience in a fast-paced working environment
- Experience with Curo and/or Dynamics is preferred
- Experience with Sage
**Key information**:
**Hours**:35 hours Monday - Friday, 12 Month FTC
**Location**:Birmingham or Bromsgrove - hybrid working up to 2 days home based
