Live-in PA / Carer / Graduate / Support Worker / Driver for Uni Student Studying Acting - Preston / Nantwich
We are recruiting a team of Carers on behalf of our client, a 23-year-old, University studentwho just finished his 1 st year, studying Acting at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston.

Join his team of PA’s who provide his personal care and independent living support. This is agreat opportunity to really help make a difference to our client’s personalachievements.

About our Client
- Studying Acting at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston
- Lives with Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy and has Cortical Visual Impairment
- Full-time wheelchair-user, but quite independent and motivated young adult
- Definitely a “People” Person
- Likes to play sport and a big football and tennis fan
- He is very competitive and participates in powerchair football tournaments every otherweek.
- He enjoys being active and have various pieces of equipment to keep him busy
- He enjoys socialising with people and going out for meals.
About the Job:

You will provide our client's academic support and health and social care. This is also a flat matetype of role which goes far beyond simply care work, and includes all the funthings you'dexpect a university student to be doing, like getting out and about to see friends and enjoyinghis university experience

Our client is confident in his own ability and lives independently with the support of like-minded individuals to assist him with:

- Personal Care
- Health Care
- Social Support
- Daily Living
- Light Physio exercises
- Housekeeping / Domestic duties
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will beprovided.
You must hold a full clean UK driving license as you will be driving our client's van.

Start: ASAP

7 day Live in Position - Week on/Week off.
Location: Preston when at uni / Nantwich, Cheshire when at home
Pay: £150 per day
Free accommodation whilst on shift
Holidays: 5.6 weeks’ holiday pro rata
About You:
You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training inhis particular needs is provided.

You must hold a full clean UK driving license as you will be driving our client's van.

An ideal applicant requirements are:

- You will need to be physically fit, calm, patient and caring
- Full UK driving licence
- Have the ability to commit to shifts (days, nights, weekends etc) Must be Flexible
- Fluent in the English Language
- Enjoy Social events, work and University
- Can carry out domestic tasks such as Cleaning, Ironing, Washing and Cooking
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Provide ‘on call’ cover for absent colleague
- Non-Smoker
- You must be able to respect our client's privacy and have an understanding of the needfor confidentiality in all areas of your work.
- Good organisational skills and being able to work on your own initiative
- Have a good sense of humour
- A mature and responsible attitude
- Excellent hearing and communication skills
- Be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.
You will be fully trained prior to starting, so previous experience of this type of work is notrequired.
You must be able to respect our client's privacy and have an understanding of the need forconfidentiality in all areas of your work.
