Are you a dedicated and passionate Senior Underwriter looking for a role where you can develop alongside a recognised market leading team? The Liability team at Munich Re F&C are looking for somebody to join them

**About the role**:_ _**:
Reporting into the Liability Manager you will underwrite new and renewal Facultative UK / Global / International, Public / Products Liability business.

The job is a role with daily broker contact and direct contact with clients, and internal liaison with other units within Munich Re.

This is a hybrid role with an office based in London. You will collaborate with the team in the office 2 days per week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Underwrite within a delegated authority UK / International Public / Products Liability business
- Client meetings including travel whenever necessary
- Contribute to the technical development and knowledge within the Liability Team
- Identify and develop opportunities for new business and new products
- Cultivate relationships with London brokers for business development purposes and exploit new business potential through these sources
- Build good working relationships to enhance the position of F & C within the group and to help develop the account
- Deputise for the Underwriting Manager when required

**Experience**:
**Essential**
- Very strong technical knowledge of Liability underwriting.
- Good knowledge of the legal background to the classes in the UK and an awareness of other main jurisdictions
- Experience with policy wordings
- Substantial London market experience underwriting or broking the classes of business

**Desirable**
- Second European language an advantage
- Knowledge of insurance underwriting including jurisdictions outside the UK
- In depth knowledge of an Industry / Technology such as Pharmaceutical, Media and Telecom business
- Product Recall experience

**Regulatory & Conduct Requirements**:

- In addition to the responsibilities set out above, the Senior Underwriter role will be responsible for: Ensuring compliance with Munich Re’s Code of Conduct and the FCA Conduct Rules._
- Ensure compliance with Insurance Distribution Directive _
- Satisfying all regulatory reporting requirements in collaboration with the reporting function_
- Liaising with all relevant regulatory bodies in the UK, creating a highly credible reputation and strong, collaborative relationship_
