**What will my role look like?**

Our Finance Team is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Management Accountant as part of the Australian Division In this role you will be required to provide accounting support within the Finance team, to ensure key financialclose and day to day activities are complete in a robust and timely manner. The role will also act as a key supporting role for Financial Controller but also play a key role in the development of Management Accountants and Assistant Management Accountants.

**What would my main responsibilities be?**
- Support the Financial Controller in delivering first time right on time financial results including journals, month end close, key line items P&L reporting
- Ownership of inventory costing and associated margin reporting including variance analysis for all sales channels
- Work with various stakeholders which are based in UK and Australia to support key business processes and develop commercial and operational understanding to ensure the accuracy of financial records
- Ownership of key audit deliverables for responsible areas
- Provide Financial Controller with concise, and clear updates and ensure all issues are escalated in a timely manner
- Support Financial Controller in ensuring a strong controls environment
- Support Financial Controller in adherence to deadlines to support wider group reporting requirements
- First point of review for work performed by management accountants and assistant management accountants including monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Lead process of process documentation and controls for all assigned areas and ensure consistency across all documented processes
- Maintain and improve standardisation of tasks and processes
- Management and development of Management Accountants and assistant Management accountants
- Supporting the understanding and investigation of variance analysis relating to actuals vs budgets and forecasts with the commercial team in Australia
- Work closely with the Financial Controller to develop strong cross functional partnerships across various departments (Transactional Shared Services, Commercial and IT), documenting minutes and actions of key discussions
- Assisting in key stages of system implementations/upgrade programmes
- Support Systems Accountants with systems testing in SAP and Envoy across responsible areas
- Other Adhoc projects
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities
- Strong Excel Skills
- Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment with strong knowledge in accounting for inventory
- Experience in a similarly sized business would be preferable
