**What will my role look like?**

Our Finance Department has a new opportunity for an Internal Controls Accountant. As part of the 'Business Improvement & Internal Controls’ team, you will be a critical part in helping EG Group to bring control, quality, standardisation and efficient waysof working.

Having grown rapidly in recent years, largely through a series of acquisitions, EG Group has inherited a number of different processes and ways of working from its acquired companies. The Internal Controls Accountant will play a vital role in measuring theperformance of Finance Controls to ensure that processes, controls follow agreed controls within set monthly cycles; The IC Accountant will use KPI’s to measure this compliance across various functions.

This role will have significant impact across Finance and the wider business. The role holder will be part of the BIIC team, made up of circa 6 people, reporting into the Head of BIIC. They will work alongside existing BAU team members in management accountsand the shared services transactional team to understand pain points and create solutions that can be maintained long term.

Creative thinking, a proactive mind-set, the ability to create strong relationships, an enjoyment of improving things for others as well as a being able to collect data and turn it into meaningful information presented in a clear, often graphical formatwill all be key.

**What would my main responsibilities be?**
- Ability to create strong relationships with members of the BAU team.
- Strong IT skills especially Excel and PowerPoint. SAP would be desirable but not essential.
- A proven ability to work with data and distil it into meaningful information.
- A good understanding of Finance processes. Being a qualified accountant is desirable but not essential.
- To be able to identify problems and independently come up with solutions, engage stakeholders and to execute the solution.
- Design concise report findings into well presented reports
- Drive standardisation globally.

- Experience and knowledge of Finance processes and ERP systems.
- Data management and producing high quality information is critical.
- Qualified accountant desirable but not essential.
- IT literate, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Happy working with data and people.
- Experience of operating in a relatively large, complex business desirable but not essential.
- Have an inventive and pro-active mind-set to independently identify and resolve data related issues.
