We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our Mental Health team at HMP YOI Doncaster, a **category**B Men's**Prison located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.**
In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
**Hours**
The core working hours are Monday to Friday (08:00 - 17:00).
However there is an expectation to cover some weekends.
**Salary**
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum - depending on experience.

**What you'll be doing**:
As a Mental Health Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide clinical leadership and management to Registered nurses and allied health professionals.
- Establish inter-agency working where necessary to ensure good communication increases quality of care for patients.
- Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
- Actively participate with the development of local operating procedures to ensure pathways are clear for clinicians.
- Ensure all complaints / concerns relating to Mental Health are dealt with in a timely fashion.
- Set standards for care by implementing protocols and establishing health education activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessment, planning and treatment of patients.
- Manage and provide clinical supervision to the team. Work closely with the Head of Healthcare ensuring that reports and other measures are accurately completed within deadlines.

**Qualifications & Experience required**
- Registered Professional - Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse or Social Worker
- Experience of providing supervision
- Teaching / Mentoring experience and /or qualification Experience
- Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and on-going competence in all aspects of the role Experience of working in a secure or prison environment.
