We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join the team at Holmewood Hall. It is a busy role with the requirement to work some weekends on a rotated basis, working with the Head of Maintenance you will maintain daily checks to ensure the good running of the building and equipment. You will be reliable and professional and an all-round team player

Duties to include
- Assisting in keeping public areas tidy and well-maintained
- Maintenance tasks such as painting, decorating, general plumbing, carpentry, tiling.
- Basic maintenance skills to assist with maintenance tasks as needed, general DIY skills, changing light bulbs
- Helping housekeeping, bar, and banqueting staff to set up rooms or move furniture
- Ensuring the safety of guests by, for instance, placing and removing signage that indicates wet floors or paint
- Physical strength and endurance for carrying and moving large items
- Good listening skills to adequately gauge and anticipate the needs of guests and wedding requirements
- Excellent verbal skills to effectively communicate with co-workers, colleagues and guests
- Daily checks such as gas and kerosene levels, drains, bins, general grounds duties
- Weekly checks such as fire alarm, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers etc.
- Hot tub cleaning and maintenance
