**Summary**:

- The Operations Division is an enabling team supporting the ambitions of the UKEF Business Plan. This covers Digital Trade Finance Service, Premium and Data Control, International Debt, Lending and Financial Derivatives, and the Due Diligence Unit.**Job description**:

Focusing on developing services to meet user need and enable business outcomes, this is an exciting role showing the growth and drive of UKEFs digital ambition.

This role will undertake user research for projects and service across UKEF, researching with internal and external users, and working with the team to design digital products and services to meet user needs and business goals.

**Responsibilities**:
In this role, you will:

- Plan, design, build and implement user research strategies to continually test and improve digital products and services. This includes recruitment strategy - working with stakeholders to build networks and recruit a diverse range of participants to ensure the service is inclusive, accessible and meets CDDO standards.
- Plan and execute research sessions both internally and externally, using the most appropriate technique. From recruiting participants, designing test tasks, preparing discussion guides, to test moderation, analysis and presenting results.
- Document and analyse user research findings and present back to the team and stakeholders (including presentations at show and tells, designing and maintaining research outputs so that everything is traceable and sharable).
- Choose the appropriate way to engage the team in research and foster a culture of team involvement. Work closely with the team to turn user research findings into stories and actions that lead to valuable products and services. Work closely with analytics to define user centred KPIs.
- Represent user research as a profession to key stakeholders and represent the service team at GDS assessments.
- Effectively communicate user research findings to the wider organisation, so that they share a strong and empathetic understanding of UKEF users.
- Contribute to UKEFs user centred design community.
- Contribute to the service design, user experience and user research community across Government, promoting knowledge sharing and adoption of good practice.
