Our client is an integrated investor, developer and operator of Renewable Energy projects.
As part of the group, they currently have an innovative waste to energy business with exciting growth plans and are recruiting for a full time Managing Director to drive the future direction of the business, as well as oversee all operational aspects oftheir existing facility.
The role will be responsible for the management and expansion of the wider operations, ensuring compliance with legislation and permitting, in addition to the coordination of the business expansion across future sites.

**Responsibilities**
- To ensure the safe, legal and efficient operation and effective staff management for the existing pilot and future sites.
- To research, evaluate and implement development opportunities.
- To liaise internally with the company's management and engineers regarding projects, maintenance, outages, costs and programming of plant improvements.
- To set up day-to-day monitoring of plant efficiency and lead the operations staff to optimise the plant performance accordingly attaining continuous improvement.
- To develop budgets and financial controls.
- To development, in conjunction with Directorship, the business strategy for the deployment of the energy plant and associated infrastructure at new sites.
- To oversee the up-scaling and optimisation of the Pilot plant and additional larger plants to meet customer requirements.
- Sitting as an Executive Director on the Board of the Company and to contribute to all discussions and comply with any jointly agreed resolutions.
**Requirements**:
- Extensive operational experience in industry which can include Power Generation, Energy from Waste, Biomass, Combined Cycle Gas Turbine, Coal, Combined Heat and Power, etc.
- A successful track record of managing businesses or parts of larger businesses, searching for an opportunity to create and manage a larger fast-growing business.
- An organised, diligent and 'hands on' approach, visible across the business with good communication and strong interpersonal skills and with the ability to manage a diverse operational team.
- A positive attitude with the ability to drive projects and people forward to complete tasks successfully, within time and budget.
- A relevant engineering or technical qualification.
- A working knowledge of chemistry and chemical engineering.
- Knowledge of environmental permits, H&S issues and safe working environments.
- Experience of managing budgets and in the training and development of staff.
- Supervisory/management experience in the waste or power generation sectors.
- Full UK driving licence.
