As a BI Developer you will aid in the Development and support of various business intelligence and reporting software solutions

**Data Engineer Role Details**:

- Plan, design, develop, support and maintain reporting using SSRS
- Cleanse, manipulate/transform and format datasets (data warehouse information) in preparation for uploading to SQL via warehousing tools
- Cleanse, manipulate/transform and format from flat files/excel spreadsheets in preparation for uploading to SQL via SSIS (ETL)
- Perform data updates on BI & ERP systems
- Monitor performance of existing reports using execution plans/stats
- Develop stored procedures/functions where necessary to support reports (TSQL)
- Data extraction from SQL for use externally
- Good Power BI knowledge with the ability to show users how to access the data in SQL
- Implement and maintain security access
- Setup and maintain comprehensive documentation and standards
- Perform general technical trouble shooting
- Manage and track system change request requirements
- Provide support to internal customers

**The Data Engineer will have the following**:

- SQL Server - SQL Queries using detailed knowledge of TSQL
- Knowledge (SSRS/SSIS) - is required
- ERP systems experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Able to manage own workload without supervision
- Capacity to think creatively with good problem solving skills
- IT Knowledge outside of the Database arena - would be advantageous
- Good documentation skills
- Retail and manufacturing industry knowledge - would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics would advantageous
- Competent user of Microsoft Excel
