Primary Inclusion and Engagement Lead
**About the Role**
As Primary Inclusion and Engagement Lead, you will take a key role in promoting inclusion and engagement across our primary phase. You will design and deliver targeted interventions, champion trauma-informed approaches, and ensure that every child—no matter their background or challenges—feels safe, supported, and able to achieve.
Working closely with our Secondary Lead, you will help drive consistency across the setting, build strong relationships with families and external agencies, and lead on personalised plans that keep pupils engaged in learning. You will also deliver engaging, creative sessions that meet the diverse needs of our learners, many of whom have experienced barriers to education.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the development and implementation of effective inclusion and engagement strategies.
- Deliver tailored sessions and interventions for pupils with SEMH, SEND, or complex needs.
- Work closely with colleagues, families, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
- Promote trauma-informed, relational approaches to behaviour and inclusion.
- Monitor attendance, progress, and engagement, ensuring interventions are data-informed.
- Contribute to EHCP processes, reintegration planning, and multi-agency meetings.
- Build safe, structured learning environments that nurture resilience and re-engagement.
- Support extra-curricular activities to enrich pupils’ experiences.
**About You**
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with primary-aged pupils, ideally within an AP, SEND, or SEMH setting.
- Brings creativity, resilience, and flexibility to their teaching and engagement strategies.
- Understands the importance of trauma-informed and relational practice.
- Is an excellent communicator, able to work effectively with families, schools, and external agencies.
- Is passionate about inclusion and committed to giving every child the chance to succeed.
- Isn't afraid to join in and participate in a range of activities that we offer our pupils (rock climbing, football, table tennis, badminton, cycling, exercise classes, walks).
**What We Offer**
- The chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people.
- A supportive and collaborative team who share your passion for inclusion.
- Opportunities for professional development and training.
- A creative, flexible, and forward-thinking working environment.
**How to Apply**
If you’re ready to help shape brighter futures for children who need alternative pathways to success, we would love to hear from you.
