**Description** **Technical Support Lead - "Beyond the Meter Network Lead"** **FTC 6 months** **Location: East Midlands Network - Hybrid** **Salary; £34196-£40231 plus benefits** **About the role** As a Technical network lead, in the Customer strategy team you will embed new process’ relating to our GD2 commitments of never leaving a customer vulnerable post a Cadent visit. You will primarily deliver on projects where Cadent upskill and utilise our direct labour to undertake work on appliances and downstream installations. Our customer vulnerability strategy has been established with the aim to keep all our customers warm, independent and safe in their homes. Your role will play a key role in supporting this aim. Through coaching, supporting and leading a team of upskilledengineers in the field to complete downstream work activities **Key Accountabilities** - Supervising an effective and highly motivated regional workforce when flexed over to projects, driving performance excellence, delivering year-on-year cost efficiencies and improvements in productivity and resource utilisation, whilst maintaining world-classoperational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction - Support the technical officer in embedding new process’ relating to our services beyond the meter strategy throughout GD2 across the Cadent networks - Work with the technical officer to manage and co-ordinate within the networks to deliver on vulnerability projects - Be the operational interface across Cadent for process’ of referring our customers to charity organisations - Carrying out workplace inspections (AQAD) on downstream work activities to demonstrate compliance with the required standards/company procedures - Support the technical officer to complete on-site incident supervision and investigation in line with company procedures and field trials for new polices - Supporting and coaching our upskilled engineers. Sharing, promoting and facilitating technical and procedural best practice **About you** We’re looking for colleagues who are fast, critical thinkers with a strong delivery mindset; You must have strong communication skills and be able to collaborate and influence stakeholders to enable sharing of best practice across all organisations. **Experience of**: - Working within Gas Distribution & Metering - Working on downstream installations - Using tools and data to support decision making - Internal and external audit processes **Knowledge**: - Good knowledge of policies, procedures, AQAD - Good understanding of Safe Control of Operations procedures - Good understanding of relevant codes of practice, engineering instructions safety and statutory regulation. - Strong understanding of HSE regulations relevant to role - Experience and understanding of Cadent Engineering and Safety policies and procedures. - An understanding of external good practice, e.g. HSE documents - Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality work in a timely manner. - Clear and confident communicator (verbal and written) with business acumen and ability to adapt communication style in given situations - e.g. in dispute conflict situations be able to deflate situations / move things forward appropriately. - Good IS capabilities (excel, power point & word, share point, web portals).
