We are looking to recruit a part time HR advisor to our team at Ipswich Hospital. Providing consistent "in person" support to management teams on people issues in pursuit of smooth employee relations, HR process and the sector’s strategic goals, you will also deliver the sector specific HR training initiatives in furtherance of the strategicoverall workforce plan. Day to day, OCS employees 560 staff across all Soft FM services provided by OCS at Ipswich Hospital. The role works closely with a strong management and supervisory team to support HR functions. The role also has oversight of Training and Compliance, and the appointed staff member will work closely with the Training and Compliance Manager to ensure HR, H&S, and colleague development are strategically driven with the support of the General Managerand Central My ER team. Ipswich hospital sits within a significant region for Healthcare and Education, therefore this is an exciting role in a prominent contract with a wealth of opportunity for someone within this role. This role requires 25 hours worked over the week, days/hours are fully flexible to suit you e.g. 3 days per week, or 5 hours Monday - Friday. Hybrid working, some of the week spent at home but must be available for meetings at the work location (approx.50% of time to be spent in the office). £21,500 per annum (£32,000 pro-rata). **Responsibilities will include**: To support the central Employee Relations team to deliver appropriate field-based support to the management teams on issues such as reorganisation and complex disciplinary, grievance or capability processes. To support the HR Business Partner in the delivery of strategic HR initiatives and projects. To keep informed of contract performance and labour issues, and to offer the management teams proactive advice in relation to labour issues in pursuance of cost limitation, process improvement or smooth employee relations. To attend management team and client meetings to represent HR operations ensuring feedback is reported and appropriate actions followed up. To work with the HRBP on continuous improvement of HR compliance, HR process and the sector strategic aims. Maintain Salesforce with case detail, risks and opportunities to maintain communication with MYER team. To act as an auditor, or whistleblowing investigator as per the needs of the business. To be proactive in communication and publicity of sector people initiatives. Provide in person support to managers on complex HR cases including investigations, meetings and appeals once escalated from the central MYER team. Provide TUPE, Redundancy and Restructuring support including Project management and ownership until concluded by liaising with all relevant Operational stakeholders, work colleagues and wider support functions. Provide in person communication at Management and client meetings whilst maintaining a clear line of communication with the GM and MYER. Provide in person support at forums or employee engagement initiatives. Provide mediation and negotiation support, where necessary. Contribute and support opportunity for continuous HR process streamlining and improvement. Develop effective working relationships within the OCS business to promote positive, proactive and fair employee relations across the organisation. Understand changes in legislation and provide support to implement appropriate changes within the business once provided from our Central MYER team. Oversight and management of absence management in line with Absence Policies working closely with managers to reduce triggers and provide Employee Assistance or Occupational Health referrals where required. All other duties which are required to enable effective, safe and efficient operations in line with the purpose of the role. **Education required.** Degree level or equivalent relevant experience Business level proficiency in English CIPD level 5 or equivalent experience (essential) CIPD Membership Qualified trainer of Mental Health First Aid (desirable not essential) **Working experience.** Experience of employee relations advisory support in a fast-paced working environment (essential) Proven track record of supporting outsourced services (desirable) Experience of HR training delivery Demonstrable experience of supporting redundancy, restructure and change activity. (desirable) Proven expertise and understanding of employment law and knowledge across HR full spectrum of employee relations. Experience in the provision of a strategic, proactive support within a multi-site and union environment Line management experience Proven experience of delivering against KPIs in relation to retention, people culture, staff engagement and change management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills of leadership quality. Influencer/Facilitator being commercially astute Flexible to meet the demands of the role, including some overnight stays, early morning travel and working late on occasion. Self-motivated, flexible and results orientated with effective inter - personal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and delegate workload effectively. Ability to mentor and develop subordinates, counselling and coaching as necessary.
