The ONE Group are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a globally renowned organisation, who have an excellent reputation as an employer in the local area. Following the upcoming retirement of a long serving member of staff, they are now on the lookout for a technically adept and ambitious accountant to join them as a Financial Accountant.
This role will see you working in the heartbeat the business's central UK function, whilst managing and mentoring a Junior Accountant. You will also have regular interaction with the wider finance function, including a number of senior stakeholders.
Day to day duties include:

- Preparing statutory accounts for all UK companies.
- Providing the global HQ with monthly and annual reporting.
- Managing the payroll general ledger interface and reconciling payroll control accounts.
- Regularly liaising with external stakeholders, ensuring that important relationships are maintained.
- Overseeing fixed asset transactions.
- Reconciling intercompany accounts and various balance sheet areas.
- Supporting the development of the Junior Accountant.

Although their office is Peterborough based, office presence is only required once a week and even that is up for negotiation if nessacery On top of this they offer a fantastic benefits package and a welcoming team full of long serving members of staff.
To be considered of the role you will need to be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills and previous experience of preparing statutory accountants. Previous exposure to payroll accounting and managing a small team would be advantageous.
The salary for the role is paying up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
