The Department of Archaeology is seeking to appoint a Teaching Administrator to join a small team of teaching and admissions administrators.

The post-holder will be responsible for the smooth running of teaching and assessment administration in the Department and line management of an Grade 4 Undergraduate Administrator.

The post-holder will also work with academic and professional staff colleagues to ensure the smooth running of a fieldtrip to a country in Europe or in the UK on an annual basis, and act as first point of contact to MPhil students.

Key responsibilities
- Provide coordination and oversight to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching administration in the Department.
- Line-manage the Undergraduate Administrator.
- Service the Department's Teaching Committee, Director of Studies Committee (a total of 9 meetings a year).
- Organise the Easter fieldtrip for 20-25 second year students (liaising with the Fieldwork coordinator and academic lead for the trip).
- Ensure the smooth running of MPhil assessment and exams (with examiner meetings in June and September.)
- Ensure the smooth running of Part I assessment and exams (with examiner meeting in June.)
- Act as point of contact for around 65 MPhil students.
- Maintain MPhil student records.

The deadline is 23 September 2024. Interviews will take place in person the week commencing 30 September 2024.
