**Information Protection Policy Officer - **Inside IR35**

**Contract Term: Until 29/03/24**

**Contracting Authority: The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office**

**Location: Remote - occasional meetings in London**

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Department for International Development (DfID) merged on 1 September 2020 to form the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

The FCDO pursues our national interests and projects the UK as a force for good in the world. We promote the interests of British citizens, safeguard the UK's security, defend our values, reduce poverty and tackle global challenges with our international partners.

FCDO is seeking someone to support the implementation of Phase 2 of the Government Security Classification Policy (GSCP) sensitivity labels to deliver greater capability through Azure Information Protection, including information barriers and Data Loss Prevention polices to protect FCDO's information.

Currently the FCDO is implementing GSCP labels as per Cabinet Office/Microsoft's blueprint for government. Your role will be to act as the product lead on Microsoft Information Purview and help FCDO get to the next stage by working with a strategic partner to enable a number of Microsoft’s extended features available in Microsoft E5, such as:

- Auto Labelling
- Information Protection of Teams meetings and Teams chat
- Creating user guidance and improving functionality through an UX approach

**Essential**:

- An active DV or SC Clearance is highly desirable, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo SC Clearance checks.
- Experience of using Microsoft’s Information Purview products including, labels, Endpoint DLP and Activity Explorer.
- Experience in planning and deploying information purview labels.
- Experience of Data Loss Prevention and Information Barriers.
- An understanding of the complexities of implementing these solutions within a large organisation.
- Experience of creating the required documentation to support such an implementation.
- Experience of working in a fluid and dynamic team.
- Public Sector experience.
