**Job Overview**

The Logistics Placement student will assume responsibility for logistics optimisation projects focused

on reducing the cost to deliver Norbrook products to customers around the world. Reporting to the

Logistics Manager, this is a development role in the business ensuring that the company maintains a

high level of efficiency within its logistics operations.

**Main Activities/Tasks **

Review current logistics operations and identify potential cost saving opportunities

Implement projects to improve operations and deliver cost savings

Review departmental KPIs and identify improvement areas

Review product packing configurations and identify potential improvements

Implement changes as required to improve shipping efficiency

Focus on key shipping lanes and changes required to maximise utilisation and provide cost
savings.

Identify best practice across the logistics industry and identify potential improvement areas.

Provide knowledge and expertise to other business functions on logistics optimisation.

**Essential Criteria: **

Current Undergraduate or recent Graduate in a relevant degree
Logical and well organised approach to problem solving
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work as part of a team

**Desirable Criteria: **

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

**Duration**:Fixed Term Contract, 12 Months***

**Location**: Newry, Co. Down
