**Join our Homelessness and Prevention team as a Parent Lead Officer.**

**The role**
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Parent Lead Officer.
**Salary**: £25,000 per annum
**Location**: Camden
We are looking for a motivated, flexible and committed individual to work at our 8-bed, 24hour complex needs young parents’ scheme in Camden.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support effective links between relevant agencies in Camden, including the Youth Offending Team, Children’s Services, parenting skills programmes, Early Years, local health services and other relevant agencies and support the wider Early Help agenda.
- Prepare clear and concise reports for meetings related to the welfare of the child is a must - e.g. child protection meetings, child in need meetings, in house Review meetings, strategy meetings, legal planning meetings and care proceedings.
- Deliver evidence-based parenting programmes, which includes organising and delivering group sessions and training staff within the service to run the programme themselves ensuring we have a model that is sustainable now and in the future. One-to-one interventions will also be delivered by the Parenting lead officer, where appropriate
- Representing the service at external local authority/provider panels and conferences
- Supporting the management team with auditing of files and quarterly organisational quality support audits
- Facilitate and encourage effective customer participation, consultation and feedback within the service.

**What you will need to succeed**
We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly.
- Must have experience of working with young parents and have extensive demonstrable experience of parenting work and undertaking parenting assessments, family support, child protection and some experience of care proceedings.
- Experience of planning 1-1 work with hard to engage parents and undertaking observations as part of the assessment process.
- The ability to deal with considerable levels of work-related pressure, for example from deadlines, interruptions or conflicting demands.
- Applicants must be educated to Level 3 or degree level or a professional qualification in a relevant field such as Health & Social Care, Social Work, Sociology or Family and Adolescent studies. Must also have an experience of programme delivery with either children or families
- Experience and Knowledge of safeguarding legislation
- Completing comprehensive reports for statutory meetings (child protection/professionals meetings etc)
