We are looking for up to 3 Partnership Leads to work with Local Authorities (LAs) across England to facilitate delivery of the Reducing Parental Conflict Programme.
Our Partnership Leads use their experience of working in child and family services to support Local Authorities and partners to develop a strategic approach, tailored to meet local need, that reduces parental conflict and improves outcomes for children.
Ideally, we are looking for Partnership Leads located as follows:
1 in South West or South East region or within reasonable travelling distance
1 in the North West region or within reasonable travelling distance
1 in the Midlands region or within reasonable travelling distance
The majority of the role can be carried out remotely. Travel will be required to attend meetings with LA areas and DWP colleagues based in Policy Hubs (London, Leeds or Sheffield).
**Job description**:
Now in its 5th year, the Reducing Parental Conflict programme gives Local Authorities and partners resources and space to consider parental and family relationships work as part of their system for early help and preventative services.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Local Authorities and partners to develop a strategic approach, tailored to meet local need, that reduces parental conflict and improves outcomes for children.
- Developing strong partnerships with stakeholders at all levels, locally and across Government, to understand and maximise delivery channels for the Reducing Parental Conflict
- Encouraging local authorities to complete quality management information to assess progress against Reducing Parental Conflict
- Supporting the self-assessment of local areas against the Reducing Parental Conflict planning tool (a centrally defined maturity framework) and to target support appropriately so LAs can progress.
- Utilising existing regional networks, providing expert input to thematic ‘communities of practice’ and sharing the learning from the Reducing Parental Conflict Programme.
- Contributing to products, materials and events that support the communication and stakeholder engagement strategy for the Reducing Parental Conflict programme.
- Increasing local authorities confidence to use the evidence based tools and papers produced through the Reducing Parental Conflict Evidence and Dissemination Grant.
- Supporting the utilisation of the DWP local grant funding for; (1) effective co-ordination of RPC work, (2) practitioner training, (3) to increase support offered to parents in conflict.
