An opportunity has arisen for a Graphic Designer to join our Creative Studio team. (Fixed Term Contract, Maternity Cover).

**Role**

Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer and Head of Creative, you will be working within the PLGM team (Production Line Graphics Materials) on the creation and execution of packaging artwork, user guides, product machine graphics, brochures and additional marketing and advertising material to suit current market trends and the needs of the business.

As part of a friendly in-house creative team, you will be collaborating with the Brand, Digital and CGI teams and will be working on artwork and creative concepts for the UK and Middle East. The role is a mix of artworking and creative design.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Generate instructional graphics and icons to appear on products.
- Create accurate artwork for packaging and user guides and prepare final layouts for print.
- Gain an understanding of the Vax brand and follow guidelines to ensure artwork style and structure meet the brand requirements on images, messaging, logo usage and other graphic elements.
- Contribute ideas and creative thinking in team meetings.
- Ensure all artwork is accurately executed and delivered to a high standard.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously from concept to final output.
- Liaise with other departments and deliver project assets on schedule.
- Archive files and packaged artwork correctly.

**Skills/Experience**
- Graphic Design Degree / HND or equivalent.
- Mid-weight graphic design and artworking experience. Proven commercial skills in a similar role / industry.
- Technically and creatively proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator. Image retouching an advantage.
- Knowledge of print processes and designing for print is essential and familiarity with packaging design is preferred.
- Portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, technical ability and an awareness of current design trends.
- An understanding of working to brand guidelines is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to demonstrate ideas research and problem solving.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workload and understand creative briefs.
- Demonstrate a keen attention to detail and high standard of artworking.
- Be able to communicate with other departments to deliver projects under challenging deadlines.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Provide both digital and print-ready files in accordance with studio processes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 9 months
