As a Live-In Carer at Home Instead, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients maintain their independence and comfort within their own homes. You'll provide personalized, compassionate care tailored to each client's unique needs, promoting their dignity, well-being, and overall quality of life. This position is perfect for caring, patient, and committed individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact on others.
Key Responsibilities:
- ** Personal Care Support**: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their hygiene and dignity are respected.
- ** Medication Management**: Oversee and administer medications, helping clients stay on track with their prescribed regimens.
- ** Emotional Care**: Offer companionship and engage clients in activities that boost their emotional well-being and enrich their day-to-day life.
- ** Meal Preparation**: Plan, cook, and serve nutritious meals tailored to the client's dietary requirements and preferences.
- ** Household Tasks**: Provide light housekeeping, such as cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and clean home environment.
- ** Mobility Support**: Assist clients with mobility, including the use of aids and supporting transitions between positions (e.g., from bed to chair).
- ** Collaborative Care**: Coordinate with healthcare professionals, care managers, and family members to implement personalized care plans.
- ** Health Monitoring**: Keep track of clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to care managers or medical professionals.
- ** Emergency Response**: Be prepared to handle emergencies, deliver first aid, and contact the appropriate services when needed.

**Qualifications**
About You:
- ** Experience**: While prior experience in live-in care or healthcare roles is beneficial, it’s not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
