Do you have experience working with children/young people with SEN and/or SEMH difficulties?

Prospero Teaching are looking for dedicated individuals for schools within the Barnsley area ASAP.

**CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS**
- Location - Barnsley
- Position - SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant
- Start Date - ASAP
- End Date - N/A
- Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
- Full time/Part-time - Full Time
- Contract Type: Long term
- Hours - 08:30 - 3:30
- The Minimum Rate of Pay - £65 per day.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
- Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
- Experience of effectively and positively managing a class and leading learning with groups of pupils, using appropriate strategies to enable them to settle to learn.
- Experience of using restorative practices

**TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- GCSE English/Maths at grade A to C or equivalent.
- Training in interventions/SEN/SEMH.
- Commitment to all CPD offered
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

**TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST**:

- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two professional references

**OTHER**
- Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
- In-house Training and Development Team
