**About Southern Self Drive**:
We are a family-run company in its 3rd generation and have been operating for almost 60 years. As the largest independent vehicle rental company in the South of England, we are looking for a reservation specialist to join our team in the Portsmouth Area.

**Working Hours**:
You will be working an average of 41 hours a week, working every other weekend (Saturday 07:00 to 12:00 and Sunday 07:00 to 10:00) with a day off in the week in lieu (Wednesday). You may be required to start early during our busy periods and there is opportunity to work overtime.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate the smooth running of the office and day to day tasks.
- Participating in the administration of the reception office.
- Responding to customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Helping to greet and serve customers upon their arrival in reception.
- Processing payments and finalising invoices at the end of each month.
- Helping to answer phone calls and reinforcing the importance of doing this to fellow colleagues.
- Assisting in pre-rental and post-rental inspections.
- Helping to train new and upcoming staff members.
- Assuring that all paperwork is filed in its respective place whilst also abiding to GDPR regulations.
- Ensuring office equipment is maintained to the appropriate quality and quantity.
- Ensuring the fuel sheets and driver’s list are completed by the end of each day.
- Organising the office lunch break hours (ideally between 12:00 and 14:00).
- Helping with shift cover during staff holidays and busy periods.

We are a very welcoming team at Southern Self Drive, and each one of us is willing to lend a helping hand when the going gets tough. Whilst your role will primarily be office based, we do ask for some flexibility in helping our drivers out with the odd local delivery/collection.

During staff holidays and busy periods, there will be the opportunity for you to work at our Fareham branch and to come in a little earlier to get ahead of the day. So, if you’re a hard-working, motivated, friendly person with a positive attitude and great communication skills, then this is the job for you Ps. It’s always great if you’re punctual, well organised and enjoy working as part of a team.

**NB** As a vehicle hire company, we ask you to have a full, clean UK driving license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience. It'd be great if you have an accident-free driving record, however up to 3 points and 1 accident may be considered acceptable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.44-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 - 45 per week
