Job DescriptionOur client is a specialist acknowledged to be one of the country’s most advanced diesel fuel injection specialists for testing, reconditioning, repairing and servicing all diesel fuel injection equipment in the automotive, marine and power generation market sectors. Based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, we are also Bosch Car Service (BCS) agent including car servicing, MOT, car diagnostics and general garage services as well as being the main agents for Bosch Diesel and Delphi Diesel systems and related products. The job specification is the repair and maintenance of all mechanical parts of motor vehicles; cars and light commercials. Some work is carried out on heavy goods vehicles, buses and marine engines. Diagnosing problems, including use of commercial diagnostic equipment. Diesel experience is advantageous but training will be offered in this area. Working off site maybe required from time to time. The candidate needs to be competent in vehicle repair work and servicing on all makes and models. Reliable timekeeper. Full UK driving license. Able to discuss with customers the problems and solutions for their vehicles. Salary is dependent on experience. Overalls supplied and contribution to compulsory foot wear made. Twenty two days annual leave in addition to eight statutory bank holidays. **We would still be interested in someone who’s license has expired. If the tester was full time on MOT’s that would only take up 75% of their time as we are not always booked up. If they want to share the role as they still want to undertake more workshop jobs, that is an option as we do have another MOT tester on site. If all else fails and we can’t find a tester then the option of getting someone trained up is there.** Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Location: Portsmouth 42 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday. 30 days holiday each year, including statuary 8 bank holidays and holiday must be taken if the company shuts down over Christmas (Normally 3 days, and so far we have shut down every year we have had the business. With those 3 days they get 1.5/2 weeks off, On-site parking)
