Could you lead the operations team of a major UK charity at a critical juncture in its growth and transformation?

CAF is one of the UK’s largest charities by income, providing market leading giving products and services to charities and donors.

We are in the midst of a key digital transformation programme that will help us to deliver a step change in growth and efficiency and are about to embark on our next three-year strategy.

We’re looking for a talented Head of Operations to join our senior leadership team and help to guide the organisation through this critical juncture.

**What you’ll do**

At CAF, every one of us contributes to our impact, and as our Head of Operations you too will play an integral part in what we do.

As our new Head of Operations, you would lead the integration and management of a new Operations function ensuring the best possible outcomes for our donor clients and charity partners by creating a highly efficient operating model that delivers excellent support for frontline teams.

The department delivers various functions including due diligence on our donors and charities that we fund, payments to charities, operational and administrative support and contact centre.

As our Head of Operations you will:

- Develop and implement plans for the team ensuring performance is optimised in the most efficient way possible
- Lead the operations senior management team
- Establish a positive and proactive working culture at all levels of the team that puts our clients first
- Ensure that your team is appropriately upskilled and confident to deliver their risk management responsibilities as part of the organisation’s ‘First Line of Defence’

**Who you’ll be**

This role is for you if you have experience of leading highly effective operations teams** **or have relevant transferable skills and are keen to make a difference to society.

We are looking for:

- A proven track record of managing large and complex operations teams and meeting business targets
- Proven track record of designing and implementing large process and system changes
- The ability to influence a diverse range of internal stakeholders (executive and non-executive)
- The ability to create a sense of community and agreed purpose across a large team
- A working understanding of financial industry and regulatory requirements including Charity Commission guidance; Charities Act; Trustee Act
- A good understanding of corporate governance and risk management
