Humly is seeking a qualified and experienced **Teaching Assistant** to provide support in **Years 5 and 6** at a primary school in **Preston**, starting in **January 2024**. This part-time role involves working on **Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday**, assisting with general **Teaching Assistant** responsibilities to help create a supportive and engaging learning environment for pupils in their final years of primary school.
This position is ideal for a **Teaching Assistant** who is passionate about supporting older primary students, helping them excel academically and preparing them for the transition to secondary education.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide general **Teaching Assistant** support in **Years 5 and 6**, helping the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Assist pupils with learning tasks, ensuring they remain engaged and supported during lessons.
- Work with small groups or on a **1:1 basis** to provide tailored assistance for pupils needing extra support.
- Help with the preparation of classroom resources and organisation of learning materials.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social development, fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to maintain a structured and positive learning experience for all pupils.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Experience working as a **Teaching Assistant** in **Key Stage 2**, particularly with **Years 5 and 6**, is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A supportive and patient approach to working with children.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow the guidance of the class teacher to support pupil progress.
