**About the Job**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Cheshire working in a payroll bureau and consultancy environment.

The role will suit someone with UK payroll experience who is looking to advance their career in payroll.

This is a fast-paced role to support the end-to-end payroll delivery across many clients in a quickly growing organization. You will be working with and supported by a wider service delivery team.

**Location**: Nantwich, Cheshire - Hybrid 2 days a week in office (Tuesday and Thursday).

**Job Purpose**:

- To provide end-to-end support to payroll service delivery across many clients
- To manage payroll queries from clients and escalate where needed
- To collate data and prepare payroll imports and changes
- To review payroll data including manual checks and prepare to sign off reports.
- To obtain sign-off from clients for audit.
- Prepare and upload third-party reports.
- To conduct compliance checks across the payroll.
- To support annual payroll tasks including year-end processing, P11D submissions, and PSA reporting.
- Recognize and suggest ideas for improvement across all processes.

**Knowledge**
**Nice to have**:

- Understand and complete manual payroll calculations.
- Payroll regulations including ITEPTA, Pension regulations, WTR, and AWR.
- Data Protection.
- NMW.
- Knowledge of and calculations of statutory payments.
- Understand and administer employee benefits and expenses.
- Understanding of termination and redundancy payments along with effective management of earnings for NI and Tax purposes.
- Understanding of varying pension schemes including salary sacrifice schemes.
- Understanding of Directors NI.
- Understanding of SIP schemes and LTIPs.

**Required Skills**:
You will require the following skills;
- Strong mathematics skills and the ability to carry out manual payroll calculations.
- Ability to run manual payroll calculations to include tax, NIC, student loans, and pension deductions.
- Ability to process payroll from end to end including year-end procedures.
- Ability to use Excel including use of formulas including v look-ups and pivot tables.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Experience with a modified payroll would be an advantage but not essential.
