The overall purpose of this role is to provide an efficient, confident, customer-focused and proactive service to staff at all levels throughout their employment life cycle at WMG, with a particular emphasis on supporting Talent Development initiatives and supporting the effective management of our in-house Graduate Training Scheme. It is a busy and varied role, where no two days are the same.

The role will provide the opportunity to develop knowledge of Talent Development, including but not limited to, Staff development, Training, Organisational Development and Early Careers. You will also have the opportunity to develop first-hand experience of a variety of recruitment practices such as Video Interviewing, attending recruitment events and supporting Assessment Centres and Interviews. The role will introduce you to a wide range of people across WMG.

You will have experience of working in a team and experience of working to your own initiative to resolve issues efficiently. The successful applicant must be flexible and able to deal with a range of challenges as they arise, as well as communicate effectively with a wide range of people in a proactive and customer-focused way.

This is a newly created role, so you will have the opportunity to shape the role into your own.

In line with dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, the role requires the individual to be hybrid working, from home and the office. Which may increase to full time work in the office in line with Government guidance.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
To provide proactive and professional support by co-ordinating WMG’s talent development activities, including its Graduate Scheme. To achieve a high level of staff engagement. To support training and development activities and HR processes, such as staff recruitment.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Talent Development and Training**

2. To co-ordinate programmes, workshops and training associated with WMG’s new Talent Development and Staff Development strategies and frameworks. This will include internship administration, arranging dates of workshops, liaising with training providers and course delegates, online facilitation via Teams, or facility requirements, catering and room bookings, in line with the standard OD processes to ensure a standard agreed brand across the University. To promote the programme across the department to maximise attendance. Maintain accurate departmental records for all development and training activities. This will include some elements of technical support to online sessions, such as creating and managing break-out rooms and developing online interactive elements such as quizzes and assessment.

3. Co-ordinate the Academic Promotion process in WMG, including supporting the Promotions Committee, arranging meetings, workshop co-ordination and record keeping.

4. Co-ordinate training and conference bookings across the department including obtaining departmental approval, raising financial documentation (via Opera), liaising with the Finance Team to make reservations, and ensuring learning is shared with colleagues via presentations or reports. To support the OD team with the co-ordination of any central training taking place within WMG. Prepare and distribute promotional and course material (internally). Publicise training and development opportunities via the WMG communication channels and maintain the relevant training pages of the WMG intranet.

**Other HR Activities**

1. Undertake a range of general HR duties, including supporting staff recruitment (production of job descriptions, submitting adverts, arranging interview panels, arranging departmental approvals, coordinating job offers), drafting general HR correspondence, record keeping and filing.
