BAM is looking for a Trainee Social Value Coordinator to support the London and Central teams in its ambitions to be the most socially conscious contractor and achieve a minimum 35% Social Value against revenue by 2026.You will be responsible for supporting the delivery, measurement and reporting of activities related to regional project KPIs and BAM’s wider sustainability strategy. This role would suit a graduate looking to kick-start their career in social value.

This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday. It is a hybrid role working across a combination of site, home and our office in Hemel Hempstead.

**Your mission**
- Support the development of Social Value, and employment & skills plans aligned to client expectations, contractual requirements & BAM’s social sustainability strategy.
- Contact for project teams seeking support with Social Sustainability
- Collate all required data from project teams and ensure timely reporting into the social sustainability reporting tool.
- Coordinate and deliver engagement activities including careers fairs, school and STEM activities, & community volunteering
- Coordinate regional ambassador opportunities and training
- Provide support to our supply chain in delivering their social sustainability commitments
- Support supply chain engagement events including Meet the Buyer & the Social Value Network
- Support the development of case studies and share best practice.
- Support work winning and tender activities bringing innovative ideas and approaches that will be a key differentiator for BAM.
- Support pre and post tender interviews as required.
- Represent BAM in forums and at events.
- Support the development of new social sustainability materials and programmes.
- Lead the social sustainability contributions for CCS (Considerate Contractors Scheme)
- Engage, and support work with our key partners including Social Value Portal, The Social Partnership Portal, Sustainable FM Index, UK Green Building Council, CITB and Supply Chain Sustainability School
- Work with our marketing and communication teams, coordinate internal and external communication of social sustainability activities.
- Help to drive best practice and position BAM as a leader and influencer.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Essential- Effective communication and relationship building skills.
- Excellent organisational and presentation skills
- Proficient with all Microsoft office software
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Willingness to travel.
- Desirable- Understanding and experience of social value measurement - TOMs (Themes, outcomes & Measures) or similar
- Experience of working in a funding/ bidding environment
- Community engagement or volunteer co-ordination
- Advanced IT skills
