- Who will I be supporting?

One male and two females in their 30s and 50s
They have learning disabilities and are supported to live independently
They are lovely people who are caring and supportive of each other
They enjoy singing in a choir, going to Zumba classes, and doing pottery
They also love going on holiday, with France, Greece and Australia at the top of their travel list
What will I be doing?

You will be supporting these individuals to live their lives how they choose, to be themselves and to achieve their goals
You will be supporting them with their medication, meal preparation, and domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry
Everyone is independent in terms of their personal care, but they appreciate friendly reminders and gentle motivation to complete their routines
They have a motability car, so it is essential that you have a full UK driving licence and are comfortable driving other people's cars
What shifts are available?

We're looking for people who want to join their team on a relief/bank basis
Shifts on offer to relief workers are typically 10am one day until 10am the following day with a sleep-in shift included
There are also day shifts which vary in length, and depend on the activity each individual wants to do that day
We're looking for people with good availability to pick up shifts on our rotas, which are provided 4 weeks in advance, and also to cover sickness and other types of leave that may occur at shorter notice
What is the rate of pay?

Your base pay rate of pay will be £9.70 per hour
As a relief worker, you will also accrue an annual leave entitlement of 12.07% for every hour you work, which brings your total hourly rate to £10.87 per hour
