Looking to develop your leadership capabilities in a growing drug manufacturing organisation? This company is in search for an ambitious Process Chemistry Team Leader who can manage a dynamic team and support continued business growth.

**_ The role_**

This thriving business specialises in drug development and manufacturing across the full development process and has recently been through a period of significant growth.

The organisation has just announced the development of a brand-new facility in Alnwick and is hiring for a Process Chemistry Team Leader to take charge in coordinating projects that align with both regulatory, company and client requirements.

Reporting to the Head of Department, your responsibilities will include:

- Taking the lead in managing the team members professional development and progression opportunities
- Developing a department strategy agreed with the Head of Department that includes identifying new business opportunities
- Performing syntheses/ purifications of different chemical entities and ensure they follow agreed timelines and targeted product profile
- Liaising with other departments to ensure all equipment and materials are acquired, maintained, and validated under the regulatory requirements
- Suggesting solutions to ensure systems and processes are as efficient as possible

**_ The person_**

As an experienced laboratory specialist, you’ll be able to confidently manage projects assigned and ensure they meet business requirements. You’ll also have good industry knowledge and will take accountability for project deliverables.

In addition, you’ll have:

- Experience in synthetic chemistry, as well as an excellent academic record in organic chemistry
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- A flexible working approach to meet business needs
