To keep up with increasing demand, we are continuously growing our production capacity by investing in new equipment, upscaling, production and streamlining processes. Due to an ambitious growth strategy and the plans to further increase volumes and improvestandards, Pregis is looking to engage a SHEQ Advisor to support our modern Stevenage facilities, where we produce the majority of our paper solutions for the UK and European market. In this role you will be a key player to bring Pregis UK to the next level when it comes to H&S, Environmental and Quality aspects. Together with your team and support departments, you'll be given an opportunity to develop, implement and maintain an effectiveSHEQ System. This challenging role would suit an ambitious self-starter able to work independently, bring new ideas and solutions forward and take pride in sharing great work ethic and SHEQ culture leading with your own attitude and behaviour. **Your responsibilities** **SHEQ plan** Contribute to developing and implementing a SHEQ management system in cooperation with the Group SHEQ Manager. Maintaining and developing SOPs, GMPs for quality and safety at the various workplaces. **Quality Assurance** Check on a proper quality of goods/parts/materials by inspecting or executing tests and measurements according to work instructions, processes or set requirements. Liaise with external suppliers of goods/parts/materials to resolve quality issues and/or escalateto the engineering team and procurement team for technical and commercial resolution. **Safety Assurance** Coordinate all H&S activities and ensure that the RA&E remains up to date. Perform risk assessments according the RA&E. These include but are not limited to equipment and task risk assessments. Carry out evacuation exercises and supervise the emergency responseteam. Ensure safety training needs arrangements for all UK staff are met. **Auditing** Manage & maintain audit systems. Plan and execute internal audits and coordinate external (customer) audits. **Analysis** Execute or participate in SHEQ incident analysis (e.g. CAPA, RCA). Provide a clear definition of the problem, check the problem definition and translate this into an appropriate approach. **Increase Quality/ Safety awareness** Promote and support Quality/Safety awareness in the organisation, including a management style that sets the example in achieving a one-time-right working environment, as well as ensuring the appropriate (behavioural) training to achieve this; **Continuous improvement** Coordinate and manage SHEQ issues and activities to ensure compliance with legal and corporate SHEQ standards and provide input for the continuous improvement of SHEQ related processes. **Management information** Provide management information, insights and recommendations based on SHEQ analytics, KPIs and external data. **Expertise Management** **Projects** Participates in and supports other departments in company projects. Independently lead self-initiated projects in the field of quality and safety. **Your Profile** - Enthusiastic, Energetic and driven individual with ability to consistently challenge and improve processes - Excellent communicator - You have 5+ years Experience in a similar SHEQ role preferably in manufacturing setting - You have knowledge of Quality/Safety systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001,ISO 45000) - You are familiar with quality tools - You believe in driving performance against KPI's - You hold National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety / Environmental / Risk /Quality Management or equivalent qualification - You possess competent skills of applicable IT systems/concepts - If you have previous experience on working with SAP that will be an advantage - You are prepared to travel between Pregis' facilities in Stevenage **What It's Like on Our Team?** As we help businesses protect what matters, we take pride in delivering exceptional results.
