**Regional Sales Manager - Flooring & Interiors**

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager - Flooring & Interiors

Industry Sector: Specification Sales, Architects, Interior Designers, Specifiers, End Users, Fit Out Contractors and Flooring Contractors

Areas to be covered: North - North East focus

Remuneration: Up to £55,000 basic + £70,000-£75,000 OTE

The role of the Regional Specification Sales Manager Flooring Solutions will involve:

- Hybrid field sales management and specification role (60% people management, 40% specification sales)
- Selling our clients manufactured range of flooring solutions, including: carpet tiles, safety tiles, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), entrance matting, floor coverings etc.
- Targeting general/ commercial office predominantly but also some private medical, student accommodation etc.
- Responsible for four field sales representatives as well as your own reduced North East territory
- You will be responsible for circa £750,000 of turnover for the North East patch (performing well) and circa £6m team revenue initially (tasked with growing this to £7m)
- 60% of your teams’ time spent with specifiers; architects, interior designers, fit out companies, developers, FM agents and end users
- Remainder of time with flooring contractors and distributors
- In the North East you will inherit a significant project bank (£2m+) and will spend initially as much as 75% of your time converting this, ultimately the role will be 50%/ 50% new business account management
- Face to face customer calls with wider team, as well as 1-2-1’s and mentoring/ coaching
- Project can vary in size from a few hundred meters squared to 20,000m2-40,000m2, and flooring solutions can vary from £7-8 per meter to £250 per square meter, with an average price of circa £11-£12 per square meter

The ideal applicant will be a Regional Specification Sales Manager Flooring Solutions with:

- A proven track record of specification field sales with architects and interior designers
- Ideally flooring products, but interior building products will be considered
- People management of a field sales team preferred, but open to a specification sales person looking for their first foray into field sales management
- Ideally with architectural contacts within the major conurbations
- Coach, leader and mentor
- Excelling trainer
- Ability to handle projects from inception right through to completion
- Fabric, wall coverings, flooring, partitioning, ceilings and other aesthetically pleasing interior products of interest
- Specification sales driven not contractor/ distributor led
