**Fully remote with occasional trips to office in Leeds**

My client, a leading software solutions provider are actively looking for an experienced security architect to join their expanding team. Within this role you will help to build out and refine their hybrid SOC solution. As a result, you must be willing toremain technically hands on as well as having the ability to engage across the business, reporting directly to their CISO.

**The role**
- Delivery of the SOC Strategy (Security Operations Centre)
- Identifies the need for new security technology solutions: designs, reviews and collaborates on the deployment of new solutions
- Participates in request for information/request for proposal (RFI/RFP) and vendor selection processes and leads the technical design of the deployment
- Regularly works with IT teams across the Group as well as communicating with senior stakeholders at executive level
- Conducts technical reviews/investigations to address areas of high risk/exposure
- Operate as a technologist for new technology to ensure best practices, innovation and the strategic business agenda is supported.
- Handles the ongoing documentation, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes, procedures, and services associated with architecture functions. Including ensuring requirements and deliverables are clearly defined.
- Works with Application, Engineering, and Operations teams to implement new technologies and security solutions in alignment with industry best practice and commonly accepted principles of secure design.
- Participate in technology design authorities/committees, forums, or project teams as required and necessary.

- Own and deliver Security Programme workstreams
- Sets the direction of Security tools and technology.
- Assess technical reports and develop remediation solutions.
- Support the development and functions of the SOC (Security Operations Centre)
- Member of the Group Major Incident Team
