The Support Worker position will find you working with adults learning and other behavioural disabilities, providing them with the opportunity to grow in confidence and develop the daily living and decision-making skills they need, within their own home.
- To promote equality and diversity within the service and the wider community
- Support Service Users to take control of their lives and to maximise their inclusion and participation in the community according to their needs, wishes and preferences
- Ensure adherence to all relevant polices and legislation.
- Ensure effective communication links between members of the team, people supported, other departments and external agencies
- Record, Report and maintain complete and accurate records including Service Users personal files and financial records
- The role requires the provision of overnight care based on 40 hours a week on a rota basis and will include some weekend work.
- The role requires the applicant to be trained to the requirements of the CQC regulation or to be prepared to undertake the required training.

Previous experience is essential, as well is an understanding or experience of supporting people with a learning disability, on a personal or professional level.

It is also crucial that you are passionate about inclusion, diversity and advocating for everyone to live their best life.

The Support Worker will need:

- To be committed to providing the highest care standards.
- Excellent communication.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Learning disability, Understanding Autism, Mental Capacity (level 2 or be working towards)
- Full clean driving licence.
- Able to work on a 24/7 based rota.

**Please note an enhanced DBS will be required.**
