Position: Supported Living - Support worker

Location: CH1 and surrounding area's

**Job Type**: Full and Part time positions

Shifts: 24 hour rolling Rota

Pay rates from: £11.45 to £11.56 per hour.

We provide specialist support to individuals with Complex Autism and Learning Disabilities to live independently in supported living accommodation.

**Skills and Requirements**:

- To support the individuals using our service to lead their life choices in an environment which is tailored to them and as detailed in the support plan and risk assessments.
- To work in a least restrictive way to maximise independence and choice whilst managing risk safely.
- To deliver, assess, monitor, and review the supported individuals needs in collaboration with the individual, people important to them and relevant healthcare professionals.
- To support the individual to be part of their community.
- To ensure support is provided in a way that considers capacity and consent and that the supported individuals are involved in all choices about their care and support.
- Where required, provide all aspects of support including personal care, medication, and general duties such as cooking and cleaning the home. Staff are expected to support the individual with activities of their choice and to use quiet time to complete these duties such as paperwork where possible.
- To be responsible for following procedures for all financial matters for which you are involved e.g., management of individuals money or petty cash.

**Key requirements for Supported Living - Support worker Role**:

- Experience in Autism (preferred)
- Experience in Challenging Behaviour (preferred)
- Attend inhouse bespoke training (Essential)
- Good communication skills (Essential)
- PMVA (Prevention Management of Violence & Aggression) (preferred)
- Proactive approach to conflict and managing behaviours that challenge (preferred)
- Have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. (Essential)
- Support people in the community such as swimming, cycling shopping and activities. (preferred)
- Ability to support in a proactive manner and offer positive attitude towards people we support.
- Ability to Safeguard vulnerable individuals at all times.
- Familiar with Positive Behavioural Support Plan
- Willingness to undertake tasks including personal care, maintaining accurate reports, household tasks and management of medication.
- Have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. (Essential)
