**POST**: Cleaning Supervisor

**LOCATION: CastleWood Holiday Park, Antrim**

**TRAVEL**: Travel will be required across all our holiday park locations
- and a company vehicle will be provided

**REPORTS TO**: Cleaning Manager

**RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior Manager
- Supporter Services**

**ACCOUNTABLE TO: Managing Director and Board of Directors**

Blair’s Holiday Parks has over 30 self-catering holiday homes, 10 camping cabins, and 5 geo domes at our Hilltop Holiday Park.

We are also excited to be developing a further 10 camping cabins and 7 holiday homes at our new holiday park

**POST SUMMARY**

You will assist the cleaning manager in the smooth and efficient running of all Blair’s
Holiday Park’s accommodation units and associated facilities.

**Person Specification**
You will be a self-starter and ambitious, with a desire to drive continuous improvement within your area. You will have the ability to work well under pressure. You will possess a high level of organisational skills, have excellent interpersonal and management skills, and have a high attention to detail. You will be welcoming, friendly and have the ability to develop and mentor your team to drive repeat business

**Main Roles and Responsibilities**

**The post holder will**:

- Establish work standards and procedures for housekeeping staff and ensure they adhere to it
- Be part of the recruitment and selection process for cleaning team based at CastleWood Holiday Park
- Take stock of available inventory so as to ensure a steady supply of work materials
- Assign duties to cleaning team and inspect already completed tasks so as to ensure compliance with Blair’s housekeeping standards
- Make recommendations to help improve housekeeping services within the organization
- Personally carry out housekeeping duties in the case of any form of emergency/urgency, and/or shortage of staff
- Liaise with repairs and maintenance team to ensure that necessary repairs and maintenance of accommodation units and all associated facilities are met
- Record and keep data regarding work assignments, and also prepare reports on a routine basis
- Deputise for the cleaning manager when required to do so

**Experience, Skills and Qualifications - Essential Criteria**
- Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly at all times
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to get along well with co-workers, as well as customers
- Must be willing and able to work as part of a team and lead the team when called upon to do so
- Must have good coordination and organizational abilities
- Must be proactive in carrying out assigned duties
- Must have good time management abilities
- Must be good at decision making
- Must have a good knowledge of customer service principles
- Must have relevant experience in housekeeping (preferably in a supervisory role).

**GENERAL SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. You will assist the cleaning manager in reviewing the performance of immediately subordinate staff, providing guidance on personal development requirements and advise and initiate where appropriate, further training.

2. You will participate in the selection and appointment of staff when required in accordance with relevant employment law procedures.

3. You may be required to take such action as may be necessary in disciplinary and grievance matters within the company, in accordance with employment law procedures

4. You will be required to assist in the general operational business of the company including the supervision, training and development of staff to ensure a quality service to customers

5. Maintain staff relationships and morale among all company staff.

6. Employees of the company are required to promote and support the vision and direction of the Board of Directors at all times.
