**About the role***:

This role provides an opportunity to be a key part of a growing and dynamic area of the business working with a group of experienced and committed business leaders. You will be responsible for delivering a first class finance business partnering service by providing insight and analysis to support strategy and business decision making across the Group Development team which incorporates Technology and Change Transformation.

**Key responsibilities**
***:

- As Finance Business Partner, you will be a key member of the Group Development team supporting the Group Chief Operating Officer and his team of 5 Directors (covering Strategy, Customer Insight, Communications, Transformation and Technology)
- You’ll lead and deliver the annual budgeting, planning and forecasting process for the Group Development area working alongside the Group Development Leadership team and senior Finance colleagues. As part of this activity you’ll support establishment of new budget management processes across the department
- Anaplan software is used to produce the annual plan, so updating and maintaining information on the software will be an important part of the planning process
- There are frequent opportunities to influence business decisions and improve financial performance by providing insightful information in the context of the strategy and plans. These include:

- Providing quarterly financial forecasting and analysis to ensure clarity of expenses/costs across technology and change disciplines and visibility of beneficiaries of additional central spend
- Providing robust financial modelling to support key change and transformation programmes, complex business cases and strategic opportunities is a key element of the role
- Understanding, analysing and clearly presenting actual v budget financial performance numbers to the Group Development Team
- Supporting the Group Chief Operating Officer and Group Strategy Director in developing effective monthly performance reporting including scorecard view
- Ensuring that agreed standards of financial control and risk management are embedded in all business processes will underpin your work

**Knowledge, skills and experience**
***:

- A Qualified Accountant with significant post qualification experience
- Previous experience working on financial support for large change programmes or for technology teams would be advantageous
- Comfortable with making decisions and working with ambiguity
- First-rate self-management skills
- Excellent analytical, data interrogation and diagnostic skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong commercial knowledge
- Skilled at stakeholder management within a commercial environment
- Proven ability to build strong relationships whilst maintaining objectivity, challenge and influence
- Excellent communicator with ability to converse across various specialisms at all levels
- A track record of problem solving
- Experience of Anaplan would be advantageous
