**About the role**:
The role of the Materials Planner will be to plan and expedite product in accordance with the build demands, scheduling parts from a complex supply chain.

A real sense of urgency, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to communicate cross-functionally are pre-requisites for this highly visible role.

This role is based at our Compact Products site in Cheadle, Staffordshire.

**Responsibilities**:

- Continuity of supply of parts to assembly and manufacturing operations
- Material requirements planning and expedite from an international supply base in line with system requirements
- Lean inventory management
- Pro-active review and continuous improvement of suppliers / logistics / transportation / packaging
- Maintenance of performance in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Problem solving / process improvement initiatives

**About you**:

- Demonstrable materials planning experience
- Working knowledge of SAP/Production planning systems is essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly PC literate
- Well organised
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Driven to achieve results
