Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing all maintenance activities to meet regulatory requirements and delivering agreed KPIs while managing business risks. This is a significant leadership role, working with all stakeholders to drive standardsand continually improve maintenance and asset integrity performance while contributing to the execution of business strategy. **Key Performance Indicators** - Zero HSSE incidents during maintenance execution - 100% compliance with safety audit schedules and follow up actions - Delivery of all regulatory maintenance and inspection schedules as per required schedule - Delivery of all proactive maintenance activities as planned - Delivery of all corrective maintenance activities in a planned manner - Control of maintenance expenditure within agreed budgets **Key Interfaces**: - Terminals Operations team - Terminals Engineering team - Terminals Procurement team - Terminals Finance team - UK Maintenance organisation - Terminals suppliers / contractors The Maintenance Manager will be a member of the STL Engineering, Maintenance and Projects leadership team and will be responsible for: Maintenance activity, delivery and budget responsibility - Track and deliver maintenance performance to agreed targets; - Responsible for all maintenance activities at the Stanlow and Tranmere locations - Foster a learning culture in all layers of the organisation (e.g. ensuring that any maintenance rework is investigated and learnings documented). - Maintain the maintenance skill pool through targeted recruitment and succession plans for all critical positions. - Support Stanlow Terminals journey to independence through ownership and accountability of Maintenance workstream activities - Be responsible for an annual maintenance budget in excess of £20 million. They will have 30+ direct and indirect reports, comprising both unionised and non-unionised employees. HSSE and regulatory responsibility - Deliver Goal Zero maintenance execution performance - Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory maintenance and inspection requirements within maintenance execution - Perform a support role on the site duty rota and provide emergency response support to the business as required - Drive excellence in HSSE and asset integrity performance, including full compliance with all applicable regulations and standards; Continuous Improvement - Site processes owner for Maintenance - Deliver improvements in maintenance efficiency (e.g. increasing Time on Tools) and maintenance effectiveness (e.g. reviewing Preventative Maintenance tasks). - Drive continuous improvement to optimise and control maintenance costs. - Support the IT department to create a modern fit for purpose Computerised Maintenance Management System suitable for Stanlow Terminals ongoing needs - The Maintenance Manager will work collaboratively with others to deliver results and foster those same expectations with the individuals in his or her organisation. - Demonstrating own high level of commitment to the establishment and implementation of actions towards achieving organisational values, goals and objectives. - Clearly communicate organisational values, goals and objectives and key results to maintenance teams to foster alignment and team focus. - Setting the "good example" in all aspects of performance at Stanlow Terminals - Driving, with consistency, high level of maintenance integrity and discipline from all working at Stanlow Terminals, including compliance to company policies and procedure. - Lead and manage in a way that fosters a culture focused on the goal of achieving a high-performance organisation with a high emphasis on service and safety. - Hold others to account for their actions in a just and fair manner that is aligned to company policies and procedures. - Support their team towards personal and professional development that adds value to the individual and company. - Maintain regular communication to anticipate and remove roadblocks to high performance **Qualifications** ESSENTIAL - Technical degree or equivalent or other demonstrated high level of competency leading maintenance organisations. DESIRED - NEBOSH Certificate in Safety or equivalent. **Experience** - Extensive maintenance and leadership experience in a high hazard production plant or tank storage terminal - to include substantial exposure to work process management. - Significant line management experience and a track record of delivering results through others required; - Experience in the oil refining / petrochemical / tank storage / heavy engineering sectors at more than one location would be desirable; **Skills and Attributes** - Experience in developing people via coaching and mentoring. - Knowledge and demonstrable experience of working within modern Computerised Maintenance Management Systems - Has the ability to contribute as a team member during emergency response and can gain the ability to lead emergency response during a crisis
