**The post**

The Faculty wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the work of Dr John Dennis. This Wellcome Trust funded post is available from 1st March 2025 to 28th February 2027. The successful applicant will work within a friendly and supportive department with unique expertise and track record in translational clinical research. The post will build on existing work developing statistical models for improving treatment selection in Type 2 diabetes.

This full-time position will be based from our premises at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on site and some from home.

**About you**

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or nearing completion) or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study. Applicants will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. Applicants will have an interest in diabetes epidemiological research, and advanced skills in data science and health statistics, including statistical programming experience.
