This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.

The Faculty wishes to recruit a postdoctoral research associate to support the Wellcome Trust funded “Understanding the mechanisms driving the reduction of repetitive negative thought” project. This post is available immediately until December 2025 and will be based at Mood Disorders Centre at the Streatham Campus, University of Exeter.

**Summary of the role**

The successful applicant will be able to develop relevant research objectives, projects and proposals; design, deliver and analyse experimental studies; engage with people with lived experience of poor mental health; prepare publications and reports, identify sources of research funding and contribute to the process of securing funds and make presentations at conferences and other events.

Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or nearing completion) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in psychology or a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.
