Edinburgh, United Kingdom CoCo Counselling in Communities Full time

CoCo is a social enterprise that supports people through counselling. We have been providing affordable counselling in Edinburgh since 2015 and it is our ethos never to turn anyone away if they are able to engage with counselling.

We are looking for sessional counsellors who would like to work with us and we are based at the Greyfriars Charteris Centre. All our counsellors work within the ethos of a person-centred approach (either via training or through practise) with further training in other modalities such as psychodynamic, integrative, focusing and emotion focused counselling.

**We are looking for counsellors to work on Thursdays and Fridays for one-to-one counselling with adults.** We are currently working in person and remotely with clients and envisage this to continue, so we would need counsellors who are experienced and able to commit to both. At CoCo we are committed to supporting clients in need and supporting each other as counsellors, so if being part of a community (within CoCo and the wider Charteris Centre) is important, we would love to hear from you.

CoCo offers monthly peer supervision on Wednesday evenings and occasional social evenings and we are a very supportive and friendly environment to work in. We would be interested in hearing from qualified and registered counsellors who are able to work independently within a supportive environment. You will need to have your own insurance and personal supervision. **We require all applicants to have at least 6 months post qualification experience of working within an organisation**. Experience of working with short term and long term clients would be beneficial, but we value independent working and knowing when to ask for support more than any particular type of experience.
