Behaviour Mentor

Behaviour Mentor required to support students on a 1-2-1 basis within a dynamic secondary school. The Education Network is working in partnership with a progressive secondary school to find a superstar Behaviour Mentor to provide 1-2-1 support for studentswho have struggled to engage with education. As a Behaviour Mentor you will be joining an experienced team of Teaching Assistants and Mentors who are focused on breaking down academic and social barriers.
This role requires a Behaviour Mentor who is able to build rapport quickly with students and help them to understand the importance of education. Your day-to-day duties will be a mix of delivering intervention sessions on a 1-2-1 basis and providing classroombased support. This role requires a calm, engaging and empathetic individual who has previous experience supporting young people who have faced barriers to education.
Job Role:
- Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within a classroom setting
- Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs
- Working as a Behaviour Mentor delivering intervention sessions
- Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for students
- Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
