Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner for Urgent and Emergency Care

It is an exciting time to join as as the Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner across urgent and emergency care. We are on a journey to transform care delivery at our front door, with great success in improving our waiting times and overall performance. But we have more to do and to enable this we are recruiting a lead to take forward the strategic direction of enhanced and advanced practice, leading a team of qualified and trainee ACP's alongside the ENP workforce to ensure that we have the right workforce with the right skills to provide the highest standards of care for our patients and their families. You will work in partnership with a dynamic, forward thinking, leadership team, comprising of a Consultant lead, Nurse Consultant, Lead Nurse and General Manager. The post holder will be essential in the leadership of Emergency Medicine Advanced Clinical Practitioners and trainees in the Emergency Department. Supporting our Clinical Director for Emergency Medicine, EM Consultants and General Manager the post holder will take responsibility for the development of the ACP team ensuring expert guidance and training is provided both to qualified and trainee practitioners to support clinical decision making within ED. This involves acting as a catalyst for change in practice and service development, challenging professional and organisational boundaries and generating new solutions that best meet the needs of staff and patients. The post holder will work at an expert level across the 5 recognised domains of the Lead ACP role, these being Clinical, Education, Strategy, Clinical Leadership and Research.
