**About us**:
The Research Department of Neurodegenerative Disease at UCL, home to the Dementia Research Centre and Huntington’s Disease Centre, is internationally recognised for its work on dementia-related disorders.
The UCL Huntington’s Disease (HD) Centre leads world-class research and clinical care. Current studies focus on identifying biomarkers to track disease onset and progression, supporting the development of promising new therapies.
Professor Ed Wild leads several international studies, including HDClarity, which collects high-quality cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples to improve understanding of HD and accelerate treatment discovery.
**About the role**:
We are recruiting a Study Research Assistant to join the HDClarity central coordinating team, based at UCL. You will work closely with Professor Ed Wild, the Study Manager, investigators and clinical staff at study sites, and representatives of the study funder, CHDI Foundation Inc., a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to finding treatments for HD.
You will contribute to study-wide tasks as part of the central coordinating team, and support participant-facing activities at the UCL clinical site. You will be expected to liaise with study sites and external agencies -such as data repositories, data monitors, and expert advisors - to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the study.
The role is available from 17 November 2025 and funded by CHDI until 30 April 2027 in the first instance.
**About you**:
You will hold an Honours degree (minimum 2:1) or have equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, along with a solid understanding of health-related research techniques and methodologies. Experience working in a clinical research or academic environment, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, is essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills are also required for this role.
This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.
