We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Support and Corporate Services to lead our team. This exciting role will directly support our Joint Place Services Executive Directors and Directors and will manage the Business Support and Improvement team - helping us deliver Hertfordshire’s vision as a "County of Opportunity" and respond to our ever-changing environment. In the Business Support and Improvement team, we have a very diverse portfolio including providing Board support, coordinating responses to member and MP correspondence, arranging Joint Place Service’s board and manager meetings, employee roadshows and inductions,providing project support and acting as the corporate contact and interface for areas such as finance, workforce and transformation projects. The Environment and Transport and Sustainable Growth departments touch the lives of everyone who lives in, works in and visits Hertfordshire. The department works closely with partners in the key areas of Highways, Transport, Waste and Environmental Management,Growth and Sustainability to ensure the wellbeing of our residents and businesses. This role will appeal to you if you thrive on managing multiple projects and stakeholders, have a proven ability to manage and direct complex activity, and can confidently, clearly and effectively communicate to a wide range of stakeholders. If you’re considering this role, you will: - Have a degree or professional qualification, and/or relevant experience in a large organisation and a proven ability to manage teams, projects and processes; - Be able to motivate and inspire your team and evidence successful negotiating and influencing skills to work collaboratively in a senior management.
