**Data Specialist**

**Job Type**: Permanent

Work arrangements: Hybrid - 1 day in the office (West Midlands)

**Salary**: £60,000 - £70,000 + bonus and benefits

My client, a market leading financial services company, is seeking to expand their Data team. They are known for being a 'great place to work' having an outstanding and supportive work culture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working with Managers and Department Heads to create and improve technical solutions and manage data in accordance with the delivery strategy.
- Lead in the creation and delivery of effective data solutions in line with departmental objectives in compliance with quality standards and SLAs.
- Input into the strategic direction of the function. Design, implement and continuously improve data management practices to ensure the availability, integrity, confidence and accuracy of data and reporting and support the quality assurance process.
- Use technical expertise to create, embed or improve data management frameworks and ways of working that ensure the department stays abreast of market best practices and complies with any regulatory changes.
- Responsibility for both direct and dotted line reports depending on project or department needs. Influencing colleagues to employ good data management practice incorporating appropriate monitoring to track and recommend action to manage the quality of dataprocesses and frameworks.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Strong leadership experience and ability to set directions.
- Experience of leading large data focused projects and ability to drive results.
- MS SQL Stack (advanced): SSMS, T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS (multi-dimensional and tabular)
- Power BI (or experience of preparing data sets for consumption by similar reporting and visualisation tools).
- Stakeholder management at senior levels.
- Managing, coaching and mentoring as well as having the ability to energise others.
- Any experience of MS Azure is highly desirable as is experience of project management and data strategy design.
