**Technical Artworker/ Automation Specialist**

**About Us**: Ryedale Printing are UK leaders in the lithographic print industry, specialising in the design and print of horticultural products on recyclable polymers. We create and control multiple ranges of branded products for commercial growers, retailers, supermarkets, and DIY multiples. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented Artworker who's eager to kick-start their career and/or learn new skills in artwork creation and automation. Customers range from Homebase, Aldi, Sainsburys to many of the largest commercial growers in UK, Ireland, and Europe.

As a Technical Artworker/ Automation Specialistyou will be involved in the creation, completion, and transition of both in-house and outsourced artwork to print. Essentially you will roll out brand guidelines across multiple products using the latest database publishing software, underpinned by a strong knowledge of InDesign. We can train in both these areas as required. Under the guidance of our Studio Manager and with the support of our small yet talented artwork team, you will be trained to utilise our custom-built automation software to innovate our artwork operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be proficient in using communication and collaboration tools such as Skype and MS Teams.
- Assist in handling and organising large volumes of structured data using Microsoft Excel.
- Contribute creatively to the design and concept development for client rebrands/updates, adhering to strict brand guidelines.
- Strive for a high level of accuracy and attention to detail as our proofs go directly to customers, often without internal checks.
- Develop communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, external clients, and suppliers.
- Understand print production and how best to create artwork for our production processes.
- Gain skills in Photoshop for reprographics, image editing, and colour corrections.
- Learn to use IT tools to source and provide horticultural content.
- Develop understanding and proficiency in interpreting client briefs.
- Assist in managing assets including images, fonts, logos, and barcodes.
- Operate as a proactive, positive team member contributing to the team’s overall goals.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- A recent graduate/college leaver or individual looking to start a career in artwork creation.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- An understanding of Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat) and Microsoft Excel.
- Willingness and eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
